Trademaster Version 2.06.50 Update Notes

These notes were prepared for the issue of Version 2.06.50 but are valid for current versions from 2.06.60.

New Calculating Engine

All calculations in Trademaster were revised with the issue of Version 2.06.40. This was done to allow the system to represent margins at either SPTI or SPTE or both, on demand. This was requested by users migrating from back office systems using SPTI margins such as MR90, to other systems that use SPTE margins.

Trademaster has always provided either SPTI or SPTE margins but had to be configured to one or the other. Now it can be switched from one to the other at any time, and can even show both. If you need to know how to change the way margins are shown please phone for details.

As a result of this change, there may be slight differences in the value of a Realised Margin figure produced by the newer versions but these are very small, of the order of 1 or 2 in 1000. If a forecast can be 'accurate' then the new version is more accurate.

Spreadsheet Data Export

Trademaster can now export data suitable for importing into spreadsheets, an invaluable tool for analysing year-on-year performance and other performance values. Full details are provided with the upgrade.

Windows Print Utility

This version of Trademaster includes a Windows Print Utility that make it possible to print to USB or network printers, and make the sometimes difficult task of getting Trademaster to print to ink-jet and laser printers unnecessary. Installation and Operating Instructions are enclosed with the update.

Data Copy Utility

This version includes a new and more versatile utility than BACKUP to make a copy of one year's Trademaster files on a floppy disk, either for backup purposes or to facilitate support.
